FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agriculture field, in particular, to methods and devices ensuring enhancement of ensilaged fodders nutrition value and quality preservation. The method involves spraying the surface of leaf-and-stalk fodder with a biopreservative water solution. The fodder surface treated with the biopreservative is immediately covered with an unconsolidated straw layer 8-9 cm thick excluding negative influence of solar insolation and high temperatures on the biopreservative bacterial cultures. The device includes a drive, a spray boom with pulverisers, a tank for the preservative solution, a high pressure pump, servo-motor valves and a pressure pipe. The spray boom with pulverisers is enclosed in an unclosed protective apron of box-like section and placed under the straw bin. The bin is equipped with a crusher feeder and disk-shaped spreaders with controllable rotating frequency ensuring distribution of the straw layer to a width equal to that sprayer coverage width.
EFFECT: invention usage allows to enhance ensilaged fodders nutrition value and preservation.
