FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a radiation source, a lens, a photodetector and a sensor with a detecting element in form of a freely suspended liquid-crystal film on the internal volume of the sensor, sealed by polaroids. The freely suspended liquid-crystal film used is a film of nonmetallic chiral liquid crystal. The photodetector has a computer which can measure, in the field of view, intensity distribution and spectral composition of the light flux and the behaviour of change of these characteristics.
EFFECT: high sensitivity of recording changes in the state of low-energy physical fields of different nature and possibility of recording changes in the state of both low-energy and strong physical fields.
