FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: patient's natural midstream first-void urine is collected after external genital care. The midstream urine is examined for the concentration of aerobic bacteria (AB). Additionally, the concentration of nonclostridial anaerobic bacteria (NAB) is determined. Provided the two conditions are observed together: AB≥103, CFU/ml and NAB≥104, CFU/ml, chronic cystitis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: technique provides higher reliability of diagnosing chronic cystitis in females.
