SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine, namely to urology and can be used for differential diagnosis of chronic recurrent bacterial and chronic papilloma virus cystitis in females. Morphological examination of urinary bladder tissue biopsy materials is performed, and the inflammation character is determined if histological pattern shows signs of chronic bacterial inflammation in the form of edema, vasoconstriction, urothelium desquamation, inflammatory leukocyte infiltration, i.e. presence of nonspecific signs of inflammation – diagnosing chronic recurrent bacterial cystitis. And in the presence of a histological picture of koilocyte transformation of urothelium, in form of eccentrically located nuclei with a vast perinuclear area of clarification – koilocytes, combined with pyknosis, inflammatory lymphocytic infiltration is used to diagnose chronic recurrent cystitis with signs of papilloma virus infection.

EFFECT: method enables higher accuracy of differential diagnosis of bacterial or viral chronic cystitis, which enables to select a reasonable management approach to the patient, reduce the number of recurrences.
