FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: sensor has a current detector as part of a current transformer mounted on a conductor, and a sensor circuit having a non-electric wave signal transmitter, wherein the sensor circuit has a current-to-frequency converting loop. The invention also discloses an indicator system for the conductor, which has a current sensor, communication line, apparatus for measuring voltage across the conductor, an analytical unit for measuring frequency of the pulsed current signal and conversion thereof into current which is proportional to the frequency of the current signal, threshold current and voltage detectors, indicators of the state of electrical processes in the conductor during operation of the threshold voltage detector.
EFFECT: faster operation, higher reliability and cost effectiveness of the system for measuring alternating current in conductors of power lines.
