FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device to monitor charging comprises a switch arranged between a load section, comprising an accumulator, and an external source of AC supply, which supplies current to the load section via multiple lines, and interrupts current supply to the load section from the external source of AC supply; a current detection circuit, which produces a detection signal corresponding to difference in levels between currents passing via the lines; a suppression circuit, which suppresses a DC component contained in the detection signal; a filter circuit, which filters multiple frequency components contained in the detection signal, so that attenuation intensifies as frequency rises; a smoothening rectifier circuit, which rectifies and smoothens the output signal produced when the detection signal passes via the filter circuit and the suppression circuit; and a current leakage detection circuit, which detects current leakage and switches off the switch, when the signal level smoothened by means of the smoothing rectifier circuit exceeds the pre-set reference level.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of current leakage detection.
