FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is designed to determine the level of liquid in a vessel. System (10) for sensing the liquid level in vessel (16) comprises capacitive sensing probe (12) for sensing the capacitance between capacitive sensing probe (12) and electrically conductive portion of vessel (16). System also comprises control circuit (15) connected to capacitive sensing probe (12) for detecting a liquid level in vessel (16) based on said electrical capacitance, non-isolated AC power supply (11) configured to apply power to control circuit (15), wherein uninsulated AC power supply (11) has an electrical connection between its input and its output, and at least one filter capacitor (C1, C2) connected in series between capacitive sensing probe (12) and control circuit (15). Method for detecting a liquid level in a system using system (10) and a boiler system containing vessel (16) and system (10) are also disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplifying and reducing the number of components of the system for determining the liquid level by using a non-isolated AC power source.
