FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: time synchronisation is supported in base station sectors and the same set of tones is used in neighbouring sectors. In a sector boundary zone, which is a high-interference zone, a wireless terminal is set to the state of a pair of sectors and operates in MIMO mode while communicating with two neighbouring faces of a base station antenna of the same base station simultaneously, where two different neighbouring faces of a base station antenna correspond to different neighbouring sectors. That way, sector boundary zones usually with high interference are turned into high-throughput zones via coordination of sectors and use of MIMO techniques.
EFFECT: improved utilisation of radio communication line reseurces in the systems of wireless communication.
