SUBSTANCE: system comprises one or two U-shaped light guides, branches of which spatially correspond to three or four sides of the display screen. In one version of realisation the light sources illuminate the rear surface behind the TV set, such as a wall. In another version of realisation the light sources are placed around the display screen, substantially in the same flat area, and radiate light towards the front side. In one more version of realisation the sources of light are made with the possibility to directly and/or indirectly illuminate the dark area between the area of the display screen pixels and the front side of the lighting or illumination system.

EFFECT: spreading of technical measures range of the display device.
