FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of cutting tools from hard alloys. Proposed tool either is made entirely from solid alloy or is provided with plates from hard alloy consisting of grains of hard refractory elements, sized to 1-3 mcm, bonded by metal. Hard alloy additionally comprises nanopowder sized to 200 nm in amount of smaller than 20 wt % of alloy weight.
EFFECT: higher durability and quality of machined surface.
