FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool production and can be used for production of diamond tools with metal bonds mainly by powder metallurgy. Binder contains cobalt, copper, tin and solid filler. Latter is represented by tungsten powder mechanically activated in a planetary ball mill at centrifugal acceleration of 15–20 g for 60–120 minutes. Ratio of components in the binder is as follows, wt.%: cobalt 52.0–80.0; copper 10.0–23.0; tin 1.0–10.0; tungsten 9.0–15.0.
EFFECT: higher hardness and resistance to abrasive wear, higher wear resistance, lower costs.
