SUBSTANCE: invention relates to beekeeping. The proposed knife is made in the form of a blade insert attached to the handle by means of S-shaped holder with sharpening on both sides of the blade. Sharpening is made in the form of additional low-contact plane, with at least one lower longitudinal side of the blade at an acute angle to the upper plane. Incisions interspersed with flat-cutting areas are made for width of the additional contact plane in the body of the blade.

EFFECT: invention provides increased ease of use during honey uncapping at the expense of decrease of crushing combs and sticking the cut waste on the knife blade, breakage of the walls of the honeycomb with subsequent their leveling and smoothing.
