METHOD OF MEASURING BLADE TOOL CUTTING EDGE TEMPERATURE IN HIGH-SPEED MILLING OF METAL Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G01K7/02

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method uses thermocouple arranged in machined part material and consists in that thermocouple hot junction is rolled to plate shape with thickness much smaller than that of removed chip. Said hot junction is embedded into part to plate thickness and soldered to said part so that, in milling, thermocouple hot junction makes a chip element and gets heated to maximum temperature existing in zone of chip sliding over tool front surface. Heat wave temperature is registered with sampling frequency of, at least, 10000 Hz. Hot junction temperature is recorded repeatedly when its element is cut up to its complete destruction.

EFFECT: determination of part temperature in actual point of cutting with maximum accuracy.
