FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of holding preparations (including biological material) on the mount of a freezing attachment of a scanning electron microscope, where the sample is fixed using a thermal compound. Extra copper plates are also fixed by the thermal compound on the mount of the freezing attachment when analysing very large objects or many objects.

EFFECT: improved thermal contact with a sample, quality of the obtained image, longer duration of working with a preparation without appearance of artefacts.
