FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. A breast pump comprises a breast cover having a portion which encloses a woman's breast to express milk; a pressure source connected to said breast cover to press on the breast and nipples to express milk; and a control means to operate a vacuum source in accordance with a mode providing a random model of pumping cycles wherein the random model implies a sequenced pause period with a number of pauses of various lengths. There are disclosed versions of the breast pump characterised by typing the random models of pumping cycles, versions of a milk expression procedure with the use of the disclosed breast pumps and a mode of electrically-actuated breast pump operation.
EFFECT: invention provides making the expression cycle close to a natural one.
