FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: in a cell with field emission comprising two dielectric plates, on one of two dielectric plates there is at least one cathode electrode with an emitter layer containing nanosized current-conducting structures, one control electrode, the emitter layer is made in the form of a heterogeneous structure, at the same time the heterogeneous structure is made in the form of additional concentrators of electric field in the form of introduced nano - and/or microsized particles of a dielectric material in combination with the nanosized current-conducting structures of the emitter layer, besides, in the heterogeneous structure there are nanosized gaps between surfaces of the nanosized current-conducting structures and particles of the dielectric material. Besides, the particles of the dielectric material are made in the form of an island-type structure. In the method to make a cell with field emission, including application of at least one cathode electrode with an emitter layer on one of two dielectric plates, application of a nanosized current-conducting structure onto the emitter layer, formation of one control electrode, nanosized current-conducting structures and particles of the dielectric material are mixed at a certain ratio, then the layerwise electrophoretic deposition of nanosized current-conducting structures and particles of the dielectric materials is carried out.
EFFECT: invention provides for activisation of existing ones and formation of additional centres of field emission on conducting nanostructured particles of the emitter layer, reduced intensity of loading of emitted nanosized structures.
