FIELD: electronic equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in making articles visual indicating equipment and electronic emission based on field emission of carbon structures. Synthetic of field-emission cathode emitter material is carried out in microvolt gas discharge of vapours of carbon-containing substances, for example ethanol. Formed composite material is graphite matrix with inclusions of nano diamond crystallites. Field-emission cathode is made in the form of a layered structure with periodically built-in nano diamond graphite film structures on thin heat-conducting dielectric substrates, and field-emission current take-off is performed at layered field radiating cathode end. Manufacturing of field-emission cathode is implemented by technology, technology for production of silicon integrated circuits.

EFFECT: higher mechanical and electrical strength, density of field-emission current and degrading resistance when working with high voltages.
