FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to milk separation. Separation plates are integrated into package of separation plates revolving together with rotor about rotational axis. Separation plate comprises, in fact, truncated conical section and annular flange element jointed with conical section along minimum radius of the latter and extending there from radially inward along, in fact, perpendicular to rotational axis. Note here that flange element radial length makes, at least, 10% of conical section radial length. Radially inner edge of flange element has recesses distributed along edge periphery to receive ledges made on post jointed with rotor to extend coaxially through aforesaid package of separation plates. Shape of recesses allows aforesaid ledges to fill the former completely while radial length of said recesses makes, at least, 20% of radial length of flange element. Note here that post ledges are adapted for entrainment of cream in operation of milk separator.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
