FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining 1,7-dithia-3,5-diasacycloalkan-4-(thi)ones of the general formula (1), which consists in the fact that N,N'-bis[dimethylaminomethyl](thio)carbamide of the general formula (Me)2NCH2NHC(X)NHCH2N(Me)2 (where X=S, O) is subjected to interaction with α,ω-alkanedithiol of the general formula HS(CH2)nSH (where n=2-5) in the presence of the promoter sodium butylate n-BuONa with the molar ratio N,N'-bis[dimethylaminomethyl] (thio)carbamide: n-BuONa: HS(CH2)nSH=10:(5-15):10 in a solution of n-butanol at a temperature of 60°C and atmospheric pressure for 5-7 h with the output of 52-90%.
EFFECT: increase of the method efficiency.
