FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining 1,7-dithia-3,5-diasacycloalkan-4-ones (1), which consists in the fact that α,ω-alkanedithiol of the general formula HS(CH2)nSH (where n=2-5) is preliminarily mixed at room temperature of ~20°C with a water solution of formaldehyde and subjected to interaction with carbamide H2NC(O)NH2 in the presence of a promoter n-BuONa with the molar ratio HS(CH2)nSH:CH2O:H2NC(O)NH2:n-BuONa=10:20:10:(5-15) in a solution of n-butanol at 60°C and atmospheric pressure for 6-10 h with the output of 50-85%.
EFFECT: increase of the method efficiency.
