FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: moist snuff non-tobacco product in a pouch, in milled or compacted form, is intended for placement in the mouth. The snuff product contains cocoa fibres in an amount of 5-100 wt % of the product base material and optionally - additional vegetable fibres. The snuff product may contain taste food additives such as fruit, berries, flowers, herbs, fruit oils and edible plants. One applies cocoa fibres and, optionally, an additional type (types) of vegetable fibre in the method for production of the moist snuff non-tobacco product containing cocoa fibres. The fibrous base material is milled or cut and/or strained; water, one or more water-holding substances and NaCI are added to the said material. The mixture is heated, maintained in a heated condition and cooled. Optionally one adds to the mixture additional ingredients chosen from the group consisting of water-holding substances, colouring agents and/or taste substances to manufacture a moist snuff non-tobacco product.
EFFECT: product is less detrimental to health and appropriate for people who want to desist from use of a tobacco-containing snuff product.
