SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for the production of filling material for a packaged smokeless snus product, wherein the method includes stages of: a) covering non-tobacco plant material with nicotine; b) mixing of covered non-tobacco plant material with additional ingredients. At the same time, application to non-tobacco plant material of nicotine at the stage a) is performed using a liquid solution of nicotine in glycerin, where nicotine is present at a concentration from 2 to 20 wt.% per the total weight of the solution of nicotine in glycerin, where the total content of nicotine and glycerin together is at least 90 wt.% of the total weight of the solution of nicotine in glycerin.

EFFECT: invention allows for obtaining filling material for a packaged smokeless snus product, in which a tobacco part of the filler is partially and/or completely replaced by non-tobacco plant material, which is preliminary covered with nicotine with taste, smell, touch, appearance and/or other organoleptic properties, which could not be achieved with usual fillers based on tobacco.
