SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to a tobacco or non-tobacco snuff-product containing magnesium carbonate; application of the latter for production of a tobacco or non-tobacco snuff-product. Magnesium carbonate contains a hydroxide, an oxide and/or crystallisation water. Magnesium carbonate content is equal to 0.01 - 30 wt % of the dry substance. The product may be combined with additional pH regulators. Magnesium carbonate significantly enhances pH stability of snus and non-tobacco snuff at pH normal for these products. The invention relates to a ready product represented by snuff or snus for oral consumption or any tobacco-free snuff-product in the particle form or any other form. The product may be packed into a box, jar or tin box.

EFFECT: extension of storage life of the snuff-product at room temperature up to half-year.
