FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises suing head of vertical hobbing machine, hobbing every side of teeth by tool one cutting edge in simultaneous rotation of the latter together with machined gear, feeding said tool along gear axis, arranging tool cutting edges on both sides of perpendicular between axes of gear and tool and locating tool rotational axis at 90° to gear axis. Note here that cutting tool diameter dt is defined from claimed relationship.
EFFECT: higher precision due to decreased deformation in tool-gear system.
