FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotary extrusion head for extruder to produce biodegradable starch-based form by extrusion with blowing. Extruder rotary head comprises die with channels and outer case arranged concentrically. Note here that die with channels consists of mandrel with channels fitted on central axle via thrust bearing and rotary mandrel fitted on central axle by means of lock nuts. Note also that inner conical surface of mandrel top end with spiral channels is coupled with rotary mandrel bottom end outer conical surface. Outer case consists of head inner shell fitted on mandrel by spiral channels, head outer shell connected with inner shell, and head tip embracing rotary mandrel. Note here that inner shell top end is connected with head tip bottom end by locking elements while cooling water outer circulation channel is arranged between inner shell outer wall and outer shell inner wall. Inner shell and head tip inner walls and mandrel outer wall with spiral channels and those of rotary mandrel form channel for feeding and extruding material made up of chevron feed channel, buffer slot annular zone, convergent taper channel, annular discharge chamber and final extrusion slot. Die with channels and outer case are mounted on head base secured on connection plate where through pass lower end of central axle engaged with larger gear. Note here that connection plate also comprises engine with its output shaft coupled with smaller gear engaged with larger gear to drive central axle and rotary mandrel with spiral channels.

EFFECT: commercial production of high-quality product, accurate control of pressure and temperature.
