FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of biodegradable polymer film for use in food industry, in particular in dairy industry, for packing such products as curd, soft cheeses and butter. Composition contains gelatin, carrageenan, agar-agar and / or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and water.
EFFECT: invention provides a biodegradable polymer film with high strength and high degree of decomposition (not more than 1–2 months) for packaging food products and prolonging their storage life.
