FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel contains the following, wt %: carbon 0.12 - 0.16, silicone 0.20 - 0.60, manganese 0.5 - 0.9, chrome 0.5 - 0.8, nickel 0.4 - 0.7, molybdenum 0.04 - 0.07, vanadium 0.03 - 0.05, copper 0.25 - 0.42, aluminium 0.04 - 0.07, phosphorus ≤ 0.02; sulphur ≤ 0.02; and iron is the rest. After normalisation annealing steel has ferritic structure with grain size of 12-16 mcm, which are combined into blocks with size of 90 - 180 mcm, which are banded with fine pearlite.
EFFECT: steel has high impact strength and good weldability at optimum combination of physical and mechanical properties and reduction of prime cost.
