FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to the field of agriculture and, in particular, to physiology of plants. In the method, the first derivative of decline of light scattering intensity dlλ is determined during continuous exposure of the leaves of black currants for 45-60 seconds with quasimonochromatic radiation with a wavelength of X, corresponding to the maximum absorption of chlorophyll and a power density of more than 350 W/m2, and the transmission coefficient of the leaves Knλ on the same wavelength. According to the magnitude of the indicator of the functional state of the photosynthetic apparatus, which is equal to the ratio of these parameters (IFS=dIλ/Knλ) the net photosynthetic productivity is assessed. In this case, the greater the IFS is, the higher the net productivity of photosynthesis of leaves of black currants is.
EFFECT: method enables to increase efficiency and accuracy of estimation of net photosynthetic productivity, to reduce labour intensity of analysis due to reducing the duration of measurements, and to maintain the plants for further study.
