FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: inventions may be used in forge welding, particularly, with induction heating source. Control system comprises computer connected with welding device and provided with one or several computer memories. Said computer is programmed to independent adjustment of welding working frequency and power on loading welding parameters, i.e. preferable width of thermal influence zone and preferable welding temperature with due allowance for parameters of materials to be welded and/or forge welding device parameters. Forge welding device parameters include speed of welding and heating length. Parameters of materials to be welded include thickness, density, enthalpy, heat conductivity, specific electrical resistance and relative magnetic conductivity. In compliance with proposed method, working frequency and power of welding device are adjusted by comparing obtained width of thermal influence zone and welding temperature with loaded preferable values. Thermal influence zone width is calculated with due allowance for thermal reference depth and electrical reference depth.
EFFECT: adjustment of working power and frequency in welding.
