FIELD: automatic welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the chemical composition of the weld in automatic welding, taking into account the penetration of the base metal of the weld in the butt joint of plates or surfacing. They are set by the melting temperature of the welded metal and its initial temperature. The welding speed and current are measured and the base metal penetration cross-sectional area is calculated using the mathematical formula for heat propagation in the product during welding. At least two temperatures of the metal of the plates during welding and the width of the seam are measured. The average coefficient of thermal diffusivity is used. The proportionality coefficient corresponding to them is calculated based on the measured temperatures and the seam width, using the mathematical formula for the action of a moving point heat source on the surface of the plate. The average depth of penetration of the base metal is calculated using the proportionality coefficient, and the area of penetration of the base metal is determined as the product of the average depth and the width of the weld. The method allows to accumulate information about the area of penetration of the base metal on the basis of welding samples and production seams and to obtain the dependence of this area on modes and other welding parameters.
EFFECT: invention opens up the possibility of creating an automated system for calculating the chemical composition of the weld during welding or surfacing with an arc of any polarity.
