SUBSTANCE: invention is based on measurement of heat-exchange equipment wall surface temperature and medium temperature at a certain distance from the inner wall in liquid and their comparison. Determination of deposit density is carried out due to the fact that medium temperature measurement in the equipment is performed from the inner wall to the liquid in stages with a pitch of 1-2 mm, at the same time comparison of medium and liquid temperature within the heat-exchange equipment is also carried out in respect to the inner wall of the equipment.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of deposit thickness detection on the inner surface of the heat-exchange equipment.
