SUBSTANCE: in compliance with proposed method, given short-circuit current upsurge and timing the interval equal to ALT station delay interval, plus ALT switch protection actuation time, short-circuit current upsurge at standby power supply buses is expected. If the latter event is revealed, sectionalising circuit breaker protection operation time is counted down. If the end of counting down the sectionalising circuit breaker protection operation time coincides with cutting off of short-circuit current upsurge at standby power supply busses, then sectionalising circuit breaker is taken to be cut off with faulty switch of ALT station changed over to stable short-circuit condition in circular circuit.
