FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: following stages are carried out: steel is melted in a converter or an electric furnace, secondary remelting, continuous pouring to produce a slab. A slab containing the following components, wt %: C (0.020-0.050), Si (2.6-3.6), S (0.015-0.025), Als (0.008-0.028), N (0.005-0.020), Mn (0.15 - 0.5), Cu (0.3-1.2), the balance is Fe and unavoidable admixtures, at the following ratio: 10≤Mn/S≤20 and Cu/Mn≥2, is heated up to 1250-1350°C and exposed to hot rolling, then the first cold rolling is carried out, as well as decarbonising annealing, secondary cold rolling, application of an annealing separator, on the basis of MgO, and annealing at high temperature, application of an insulating coating and annealing with stretching and straightening.

EFFECT: high electromagnetic properties, improved electromagnetic characteristics of steel.
