FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to electrotechnical steel sheet with oriented grain structure used as material of iron cores of transformers. Electrotechnical steel sheet comprises silicon steel sheet, glass film located on surface of silicon steel sheet, and insulating coating located on surface of glass film. Silicon steel sheet containing as chemical composition, in wt. %: from 2.50 to 4.0 Si, from 0.010 to 0.50 Mn, from 0.0001 to 0.20 C, from 0 to 0.070 acid-soluble Al, from 0 to 0.020 N, from 0 to 0.080 S, from 0 to 0.020 Bi, from 0 to 0.50 Sn, from 0 to 0.50 Cr, from 0 to 1.0 Cu, the rest is iron and impurities. Glass film contains braunite.

EFFECT: higher adhesion of coating without deterioration of magnetic characteristics.
