SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises internal element 10 arranged on, at least, certain section of length inside guide channel 12 of external element 14 to displace along guide channel 12 to compensate for ICE valve clearance. Pressure chamber 18 communicates with tank 20 to receive hydraulic fluid. Chamber 18 and tank 20 are connected to internal element 10 while one-way valve is arranged there between. There is clearance compensation element to load internal element 10 with adjusting force relative to external element 14, and feed device communicated with locking chamber 30 to feed hydraulic fluid to locking chamber 30 to act on internal element 10 by locking force opposite the adjusting force. Feed device 28 incorporates clock oscillator 38. Locking force may be adjusted subject to clock oscillator working cycle. Invention covers also method of controlling valve clearance adjusting element.
EFFECT: reliable and flexible pressure increase for control over internal element.
