SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises discharge valve 3, 4 to discharge waste gases from combustion chamber, valve bridge 5 to allow fitting discharge valve 3, 4, valve lever 6 to displace valve bridge 5. Motor brake assembly is equipped with valve timing hydraulic unit 25 arranged between discharge valve 3 and valve bridge 5 and communicated with oil feed channel 9. Discharge valve 3 may be retained in intermediate open position with actuated motor brake 2. Thrust 45 makes rest 44 for valve bridge 5. Hydraulic mechanism 11 to compensate for valve clearance for discharge valve 3,4 arranged between discharge valve 3 and valve bridge 5 and communicated with oil feed channel 9. Control channel 26 to feed oil to valve timing hydraulic unit 25 is communicated with oil feed channel 9. To compensate for valve clearance for discharge valve 3,4, it is possible to shut off control channel 25 by shut-off element 40. Thrust 45 serves to adapt test 44 to position of aforesaid compensation mechanism and is made up of piston-cylinder hydraulic assembly.
