SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. Device for driving at least one exhaust valve of an internal combustion engine comprises actuating member (6) driven by a cam shaft. First hydraulically loaded cylinder-piston unit (15) is connected in the power flow between cam (4) of the camshaft and at least one exhaust valve (2). Cylinder-piston unit (15) makes it possible to keep exhaust valve (2) in braking mode by the engine with reverse thrust of exhaust gases in an unclosed intermediate position. Second cylinder-piston unit (11) is in the form of a hydraulic compensating valve gap of the element. In the force flow between cam (4) and outlet valve (2), at least one locking device (23), (24) is provided for locking actuating member (6). Locking device (23), (24) is controlled so that, in the engine braking mode, locking device (23), (24) is activated when passing the main circumference of cam (4), and accordingly, actuating member (6) is locked at its position. Locking device (23), (24) in the engine braking mode is deactivated when passing cam (4) area, and accordingly the locking of the position of actuating member (6) is removed. Method for driving at least one exhaust valve and a trackless vehicle is disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result is higher valve reliability.
