FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method to maintain a water-chemical mode of a nuclear power plant by means of dosing a water solution containing aluminium into a coolant, with maintenance of the ratio of molar concentrations between aluminium and bivalent iron equal to more than two. Salts of aluminium and organic acids are dosed into the coolant, for instance, salts of acetic or oxalic or citric acids, in the amount necessary to create concentration of 20-50 mcg/l in terms of aluminium.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the process of maintaining the water-chemical mode of the nuclear power plant, to reduce consumption of reagents to suppress corrosion processes and quantity of produced radioactive wastes by more than an order, to improve radiation environment at a facility.
