FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science. Substance of a method of viable sporocyst release and recovery from oocysts consists of a number of stages: (a) preparing a solution containing suspended oocysts; (b) providing a cell breakage device with a chamber of the diameter substantially equal or exceeding the oocyst diameter; (c) passing the solution through the chamber of the cell breakage device to provide a shear speed a minute within the range approximately 3.00 x 105 sec-1 a minute to approximately 3.00 x 106 sec-1 a minute, and releasing thereby unbroken viable sporocyst from oocysts; (d) recovery of the unbroken viable sporocyst from the solution. Oocyst can represent Eimeri oocysts. The oocyst solution is exposed to controlled shear loads sufficient to destruct oocyst walls and release sporocysts/sporozoites therefrom. The solution may be passed through the chamber of the Microfluidiser® processor under certain conditions: chamber diameter, chamber geometry and pressure.
EFFECT: using the method provides higher diagnostic effectiveness in infectious diseases.
