FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used for hardening annular billet material by channel-annular forming. Heated annular billet is placed in female die annular channel. Female die has three or five crossing annular channels. Billet is deformed by extruding through crossed annular channels by means of annular male die. In deforming, billet is extruded laterally.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of hardening.
