FIELD: shaping.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the shaping of materials and can be used for hardening annular workpieces or sleeves. After heating, the annular workpiece or sleeve is placed in the annular channel of a die made with three intersecting annular channels. The annular workpiece or sleeve is deformed by pushing through said intersecting annular channels of the die with an annular punch. Transverse extrusion of the annular workpiece or sleeve in the direction of reduction of the diameter thereof is therein provided. For this purpose, the output channel of the die is made with a diameter smaller than the diameter of the receiving channel.
EFFECT: increase in the strength characteristics and the wear resistance of the processed parts.
