FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: sulphide-arsenic material contains components in the following ratio, at %: arsenic 51-53, sulphur 49-47. The method of producing highly pure material involves fusing elementary arsenic and sulphur in ratio 51-53:49-47 at %:, respectively, at temperature not higher than 450°C in the presence of carbon disulphide vapour, after which the obtained melt undergoes fine purification via vacuum distillation with evaporation rate of (1-5* 10-4 g/cm2* s). Invention enables to obtain ultra-pure sulphide-arsenic material with oxygen impurity content of (1-2)10-7 wt %. Output of the product during treatment is equal to 99.0-99.5%.
