FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: primary isolation of a bovine respiratory syncytial virus strain is originated by infection of an initially trypsinised cell culture of bull-calf testicles. A stabilising modified Eagle's medium with penicillin and streptomycin is used to incubate the infected culture. Also, the strain K18 V406 recovered with using the method described above is prepared.
EFFECT: strain is characterised by high antigen activity, and also ability to induce virus neutralising antibodies, the strain may be used for preparing diagnostic products.
