SUBSTANCE: apparatus is in form of four functional units - a monitoring unit with a flexible cable, an emitter unit with an optical output connected by the flexible cable to the monitoring unit, a photodetector unit with an optical input, a monitoring and identification signal generator with three light-emitting diodes and four output terminals which are outputs of the device. An alarm signal is generated at the first output terminal for switching on an audio signalling device, and a three-bit binary digital code for identifying the extent of unauthorised access to the secure facility is generated at the second, third and fourth output terminals. Light-emitting diodes provide visual identification of the extent of unauthorised access to the secure facility. The apparatus enables remote monitoring of unauthorised access to a secure facility.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the device and improved operational characteristics.
