FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises an adaptive sensor representing an assembly from inductive and capacitance sensitive elements, and also two infrared photodetectors, a logical element OR-NOT, the first and second blocks of indication, the first and second diodes, a counting trigger, two logical elements AND, two threshold elements, a pulse shaper, a multivibrator, a detector and a clock oscillator, and also a generator connected to outlets of the inductive sensitive element. When moving items in one or another opposite direction relative to the sensitive element of the adaptive sensor on its first outlet they process potential information signals of voltage with level of logical "1", carrying information on control of the position of heated non-metal and non-heated metal and non-metal items, on the second and third outlets - accordingly double-digit binary digital codes 10 and 01 for identification of these items. Visual signals of control of position and identification of these items are taken from the appropriate indication units.

EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of an adaptive sensor.
