FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: adaptive position identification and control transducer for articles with enhanced reliability comprises a sensitive surface, a control sensor for two types of articles, the first (main), second, third and fourth (backup) outputs, an OR logical element, an OR-NO logical element, four AND logical elements, two resistors, a p-n-p transistor, a threshold element, a counter trigger, the first, second and indication units, an electric oscillations' generator with their respective electric connections. At displacement of one checked article (for example, heated metal one) or another (for example, unheated non-metal one) along the sensitive surface, potential position control signals for these articles with the level of logical "1" are formed at the first output when there is no short circuit there, or at the fourth output when there is short circuit at the first output. Note here that the second and third outputs generate two-digit binary digital code, its values 10 and 01 are identification codes of respectively one or another type of the checked article. The adaptive transducer allows for the automatic control of one or the other article type with no mechanical contact therewith and automatic adaptation to its particular type.
EFFECT: expanded functionality with higher performance reliability and improved operating characteristics.
