FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: circuit breaker comprises a resonant circuit (2) connected in parallel with a breaker (1) and a discharger (7) for overvoltage protection connected in parallel with the resonant circuit. The resonant circuit has serially connected capacitor (3) and inductance (4). Ratio of capacitance in mcF to inductance in mcH of the resonant circuit is ≥1.
EFFECT: possibility to disconnect direct currents exceeding 2500 A.
