METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF STIMULATING PROPERTIES OF PHYSIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCES (FAS) Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A01G7/00 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of plant and forest growing. According to the method one cuts out and removes a patch of bark (down to the wood, xylem) from two-year stems of modular wood plants during the vegetation period. The injury spot is wrapped with transparent film with solution of the substance being tested injected with the medical syringe until complete filling of the space between the film and the scratch cut. In 24 hours the wrapping film is removed. For each sample one calculates the percentage of the tylosis-occupied cut area 10-15 and 30 days after testing commencement from the formula: R= ΣS/n1-ΣK/n2, %, where R is the FAS stimulating effectiveness; ΣS is the sum total of tylosis generation percentages with cuts treated with FAS solution; ΣK is the sum total of tylosis generation percentages with cuts untreated with FAS solution (reference); n1 is the number of cuts with the plants under test; n2 is the number of cuts with the reference plants. The FAS has stimulating properties if the calculated R value exceeds 0. The higher is the R value above 0, the higher are the stimulating properties. At R = 0 stimulating properties are absent, at R below 0 the FAS acts as an inhibitor.

EFFECT: method enables evaluation of stimulating properties of physiologically active substances and preparations based thereon.
