FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely pulse wave signal processing and further interpretation. A method of measuring blood vessel elastance is implemented by measuring analogue pressure signals at least by two measuring channels on a measurement surface within an artery, transforming the analogue pressure signals into electric ones, amplifying the received signals, transforming them into a digital form, recording and processing. The of measuring blood vessel elastance differs from common present technologies by the fact that pulse or frequency characteristic of each measuring channel is pre-recorded; the signals are transformed into the digital form synchronously or quasi-synchronously, and the signal processing involves calculating a pressure function and recovering an initial form of pulse wave signal in the form pulse curves of the measuring channels characterising actual pressure in a blood vessel on the basis of pre-recorded pulse or frequency characteristics of each measuring channel. It is followed by locating characteristic points on the pulse curves of the measuring channels Pulse wave propagation speed is shown by the point distance.
EFFECT: use of the given invention shall enables higher measurement and analysis reliability ensured by data acquisition accuracy and stability from pulse wave detectors.
