SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animal husbandry, in particular, to applicators for attaching a tag to the animal and/or tags for them. The applicator (1) for attaching a tag (10) to an animal includes a body having a longitudinal axis, a feeding device and a releasing device. Into the body in the longitudinal direction a band of longitudinally aligned and longitudinally linked tags (10) is inserted. Each tag has a male and female part, oriented longitudinally with respect to the band of tags (10). The feeding device interacts with the front part of the tag (10A), moves the band in the longitudinal direction relative to the body, and places the front tag (10A) to the releasing position. The releasing device separates the front tag (10A) from the next adjacent one. The next feeding device interacts with the band to move forward the next front tag (10A) to the releasing position. The band of tags has a connecting part for connecting the adjacent tags. The tags are selectively engaged by the releasing device for the following separation of the front tag (10A) and attaching to the part of the animal.

EFFECT: fast and effective labeling for a variety of animals without a recharge.
